I wanted this so my mom could use it for when we do corn on the cob since she can't eat it off the cob. This is a stainless steel corn peeler that you just start from one end and drag it to the other end and it takes the corn off the cob all at once repeating on each side to get it completely off the cob. This is a whole lot easier and safer to use than trying to take a knife to the cob. This does have a sharp blade on it so definitely have this facing away from you when using it so if it slips you don't cut yourself like you would with a knife if it slipped. The round smooth handle makes it easy to grip and hold onto while using. This is dishwasher safe so no problem with cleaning it either.
